How Good and How Pleasant It Is...to Dwell Together in Unity

I was privileged to teach the lesson on Unity today. This had to be one of the most simple lessons I've ever prepared...made simple because our ward is so focused on serving each other! From our lesson, Joseph Smith said:

• "Let the Saints remember that great things depend on their individual exertion, and that they are called to be co-workers with us and the Holy Spirtit in accomplishing the great work of the last days."
• "By a concentration of action, and a unity of effort, we can only accomplish the great work of the last days."
• "Therefore, let those who can freely make a sacrifice of their time, their talents and their property for the prosperity of the kingdom, and for the love they have to the cause of the truth...unite with us in the great work of the last days, and share in the tribulation, that they may ultimately share in the glory and triumph.

After the wonderful lesson/President's Message that Toni Bryson gave a few weeks ago, in which each sister in the room was specifically mentioned for a service or kindness that they'd offered to others, Sister Joy Pitcher commented that the feeling in the room was so phenomenal because we were all so focused on thinking of all of the good in each other. There's never been a better feeling of unity. What a blessing to live in a ward so filled with service and love and unity amongst the sisters. Can you hear me humming "As Sisters In Zion" right now?
